Scary Stuff!

Jefferson City - Despite having three years as a candidate for governor to put together policies and an agenda, Jay Nixon laughably launched a healthcare “proposal” last week that he now admits was off by $265 million. If this were not so scary it would be funny.

“How can someone who wants to be the next governor be so incompetent,” asked Tina Hervey communications director of Missouri Republican Party. “Missouri Democrats should be embarrassed that Nixon undertook a three city ’tour‘ detailing a health care plan that was based on a $265 million dollar mathematical error. Missourians should be concerned that a gubernatorial candidate is unable to do simple arithmetic especially when he plans to force Missourians to pony up $1 billion in new taxes to resuscitate the old, broken Medicaid system. This proves what most Missourians know to be true, Jay Nixon has no credible plans to solve Missouri’s problems – he is an arm-chair quarterback who sits on the sidelines and criticizes and has no idea how to lead.”

Nixon’s 22-year record of incompetence also includes admitting he used a taxpayer-funded car for personal and political purposes, receiving campaign contributions from Ameren and other companies while investigating them, and tanking the defense of laws supported by the majority of Missourians.
