Jefferson City - In a St. Louis Post Dispatch story last week about the Sunshine request made of Representative Harris by Governor Blunt, Chet Pleban desperate to promote the cause of a partisan political panel on a witch-hunt, responded like a political attack dog.

The open-records request sent to Harris, in particular, is "retaliatory, vindictive and very childlike,” Pleban said.

“It is not surprising that Nixon’s designated hatchet man on this Democrat-dominated panel investigating the governor’s office continues to freely speak to the media using inflammatory and incendiary language when it has nothing to do with the expressed purpose of the witch-hunt panel,” said Tina Hervey, communications director of the Missouri Republican Party. “What is surprising is that the media continues to take the bait. Jay Nixon’s ‘independent investigation’ and Pleban’s comments are nothing but a pathetic attempt to attack the person Jay Nixon would have faced in the November election.”
