New Poll Shows Support for Governor Blunt

Since Governor Blunt took office in 2004, we’ve seen dramatic improvements in our state, and as much as Jay Nixon might like to convince us we need to move backward, Missourians aren’t buying it. A recent Rasmussen poll shows that the longer Jay Nixon campaigns, the more Missourians see through his empty promises and outright lies.

Under Governor Blunt’s leadership, we’re making strides in the areas Missourians care about most. Legislation recently enacted by the governor protects Missourians’ hard-earned dollars by cutting taxes, provides health care for needy Missourians through the MO HealthNet system, and improves educational opportunities and resources including $335 million for new learning centers. Other recent achievements by Governor Blunt and our Republican-led Legislature include more protection for our children, help for Missouri workers and homeowners, and stronger defense of Missourians’ Second Amendment rights.

Why would we want to go back to the days of higher taxes, an underfunded education system, and a failing health care program? As Missourians consider the question, they find themselves deciding they want nothing to do with Jay Nixon’s failed policies of the past.
