“President Bush has once again nominated an extraordinary and well qualified individual in Harriet Miers to serve on the Supreme Court.

“As the top advisor to the President, Harriet Miers has continually shown her commitment to justice and her respect for the Constitution. As her confirmation proceedings move forward, I believe that the United States Senate will follow the Roberts and Ginsburg precedents, and reject the Dean-Democrat’s motto of obstructionism.”
