Missourians Overwhelmingly Support President

JEFFERSON CITY _ Missourians showed their continued confidence in
President George W. Bush on Tuesday by overwhelmingly supporting him in the
Missouri Republican primary.

“ Missourians? supported the president because he shares our values,?? said
Ann Wagner, chairman of the Missouri Republican Party. “This is the first step
in a process that will lead to George W. Bush?s election to a second term as
president. We are pleased that Missourians have once again embraced George W.
Bush.??

Bush captured Missouri in the 2000 general election by nearly 80,000 votes
and Wagner said she expected that margin to be even larger when voters go to the
polls in November?s general election.

“The president?s accomplishments over the last four years have strengthened
his support in our state,?? Wagner said. “We are proud of the president?s
agenda of a safe and secure nation, a vibrant and growing economy and strong and
accountable schools.??
