What is the Missouri Republican State Convention?

Every four years, the Missouri State Statutes require our Party to convene. The Missouri Republican State Convention is the chance for state Republicans to gather and have a voice in the direction of our state and our Party. It is YOUR opportunity to help ensure that Missourians continue to benefit from Republican leadership.

Some of the business items at the 2008 Missouri Republican State Convention include:

Election of our National Committeeman & National Committeewoman
Election of our At-large Delegates and Alternates to the Republican National Convention
Ratification & Election of our Republican Presidential Electors
Adoption of the 2008 Missouri Republican Platform.

The 2008 Missouri Republican State Convention also provides an opportunity to meet other Republicans, talk to local and statewide Republican candidates and officials, hear from special guest speakers and much, much more!

How can I attend?

As a Delegate or Alternate: Delegates and Alternates to the Missouri Republican State Convention are elected at local caucuses (county, city or township) on March 15th, 2008 at 10 a.m. Each county is allocated X number of Delegates and Alternates based on their supporting votes for our 2004 presidential candidate, President George W. Bush.

As a Guest: We support and encourage ALL Missouri Republicans to attend the 2008 Missouri Republican State Convention. This event is about our Party – YOU – making a difference for our state and our nation. Act locally; make an impact nationally!

Do I need to register?

Each person attending any of the events during the 2008 Missouri Republican State Convention will need to register. As soon as the convention schedule has been finalized, the schedule of events and registration information will be posted under the REGISTRATION section of this site. Special prices for events will be available to those who register early!

Can I bring my family?

While our priority is the business of the convention, we encourage all of the attendees to come early and stay late to see what’s new in Branson!

The availability of family-friendly entertainment and attractions was just one of the many reasons that our site committee chose Branson as the host city for the 2008 Missouri Republican State Convention.
