U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) to speak at Missouri Lincoln Days

January 10, 2013

The Missouri Republican Party and Missouri Association of Republicans are excited to announce the keynote speaker for the Friday evening banquet at the 2013 Lincoln Days celebration: United States Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming).

“Missouri’s Lincoln Days event will be a time for Republicans to come together to celebrate what we have accomplished together and begin mapping our strategy for 2014, 2016, and beyond,” said Ed Martin, Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party. “We are honored to have Dr. John Barrasso, one of the conservative leaders in the Senate, to share his perspective on the future of our party and our country.”

Senator Barrasso, an orthopedic surgeon, has served in the United States Senate since 2007, where he is one of the leading voices against Obamacare.  Senator Barrasso is the fourth ranking member of the Senate leadership team as the Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

Senator Barrasso’s visit will come at a time when the Republican super-majorities in the Missouri House and Senate are looking to reinstate laws preventing frivolous lawsuits that drive good doctors out of the state.

“Missourian Republicans should be proud of what they have accomplished over the past decade—turning the state into a solidly red state in presidential elections and making massive gains at the legislative and local levels,” said Sen. Barrasso. “I am excited to visit with the conservative volunteers and activists whose hard work and dedication have made these victories possible as we discuss our party’s future.”

The 2013 Missouri Lincoln Days celebration will take place February 15-17 in St Louis, MO. For additional details or to register, please visit
