Sam Graves & Jim Talent announce Small Business Owners for Romney Coalition

The Romney campaign released the following statement:

US Congressman Sam Graves, Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, and Senator Jim Talent, former Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, announced the Missouri Small Business Owners for Mitt Romney Coalition today, citing the devastating impact  of President Obama’s failed economic policies over the past four years.

“Small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy, but unfortunately, President Obama’s reckless policies and burdensome regulations have made it harder for entrepreneurs to start a business or hire new workers,” said Graves.  “Mitt Romney knows that small business owners will lead our economic recovery.  That’s why he has a plan to help get small business owners back on their feet by reforming the tax code, eliminating unnecessary government red-tape, and opening new markets for American goods.”

From his claim that the private sector is ‘doing fine’ to his insulting comment that small business owners ‘didn’t build’ their businesses, President Obama has repeatedly demonstrated he is out-of-touch from the needs of America’s job creators.

“President Obama’s policies have stalled the economic recovery—and it’s no wonder.  So many small business owners I speak to are unwilling to hire or expand, because they just don’t know what to expect from Washington,” said coalition member Kathy Swan, owner of JCS Wireless in Cape Girardeau. “I am supporting Mitt Romney because his background in business gives him a unique understanding of needs of job creators, and his record as a Governor shows that he knows how to get things done.”
