More Democrat Friendly Fire: DSCC Attacks Hit Claire McCaskill

Lloyd Smith, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party, released the following statement about the DSCC’s latest attack ads against Roy Blunt:

“Desperate Democrats are willing to try anything to salvage the disappointing campaign of Rubberstamp Robin Carnahan, even if it means airing attack ads that strike at the heart of their own party.  In releasing their latest attack on the 2008 economic rescue package, the DSCC is hoping that Missourians forget that Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Russ Carnahan, Ike Skelton, and Claire McCaskill, among many other Democrats, supported the bill.

“Four years ago, McCaskill was the darling of the DSCC, which spent millions of dollars on her behalf.  But today, McCaskill is yet another victim of their vicious attacks.  But like Robin Carnahan, who said the rescue package was ‘absolutely’ necessary, Claire McCaskill voted for the bill because she stated it was needed to stabilize the economy and prevent a devastating collapse.

“In November, Missourians will not be fooled by the Democrats’ manufactured election year outrage.”
