Congressman Roy Blunt’s bright red, white and blue bus pulled into Dexter Saturday evening and was greeted by a full house at the annual Stoddard County Lincoln Day Banquet.
Blunt and U.S. Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson were the headliners at the gathering of Republicans that heard energetic talks at the beginning of a key election year. More than 225 people attended the annual political rally at the Elks Lodge in Dexter.
Blunt concluded the second day of his “Jobs for Missourians” state tour at the Stoddard County banquet. Blunt has been travelling throughout the state as he ramps up his campaign to succeed Senator Kit Bond in the U.S. Senate. Joining him at the banquet were his wife Abigail and four-year-old son Charlie. Blunt is campaigning to succeed retiring Senator Kit Bond in the U.S. Senate.
