Missouri's Caroline Kennedy Is On a Lightweight Roll!…Announces on YouTube, No Reporters, Leaves Missouri For Washington, NYC Pro-Abortion Money Bash with Stars

February 6, 2009

Jefferson City – Wasting no time abandoning her four-year obligation to the voters, we learned this week that Robin Carnahan is spending time in New York City where she plans to attend the pro-abortion “Parties of Your Choice Gala” as a special guest of honor.

“Missouri’s Caroline Kennedy announced for the Senate on YouTube, and then hid from news conferences, interviews, and voters with questions. Now, we learn that Robin Carnahan is heading east fast, for pro-abortion celebrity parties in New York City and Washington,” said Tina Hervey, communications director for the Missouri Republican Party.

The pro-abortion gala is billed as an “intimate setting” with elites and celebrity chefs. This “exceptional evening” promotes pro-abortion political candidates and public officials.  Hollywood celeb Kathleen Turner will be among those attending. It should be an exciting night for Robin. For most Missourians though, Mondays are work days.

“Robin Carnahan has been a political candidate for U.S. Senate for less than 48 hours and she has already been endorsed by the pro-abortion lobby in Washington, D.C. and now she’s walking the red carpet with the pro-abortion lobby in New York City,” said Hervey.

Robin Carnahan was seen recently in an Internet video (release date, Feb. 4), but has yet to meet with voters and answer questions about her radical views on issues like abortion.  Her first national Democrat party endorsement was by New Jersey’s pro-amnesty, anti-border Senator Robert Menendez.

Next in line for Carnahan were the D.C.-based pro-abortion group EMILY’S List, which endorsed on Robin’s YouTube day, now followed by the Woman’s Campaign Forum, sponsor of the glitzy star galas. Hervey said, “Missourians should also be concerned that Carnahan is already abandoning her post as Secretary of State in favor of chic time with celebrities and pro-abortion national liberal donors.”

“Robin Carnahan is showing she is more interested in high-rolling events in Manhattan than doing the job Missourians pay her to do,” said MRP’s Hervey. “Sadly, for Robin Carnahan, political ambition, joining her brother in Congress, and voting for the Obama program borrow-spend-tax come before doing her job as Secretary of State.”

The tally to date on Robin Carnahan’s Lightweight Derby with Caroline Kennedy:

  • Wrote a book. Missouri’s Caroline, no. Caroline, yes.
  • Announced in front of real people. Missouri’s Caroline, no. Caroline, yes.
  • Answered questions from news media. Missouri’s Caroline, no. Caroline, yes.
  • Took trips to learn about “the state” and meet with “people.” Missouri’s Caroline, no. Caroline, yes.
